On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will begin work to repair a water leak on Pleasant Street in Belmont. The work will take place within the roadway, so there will be impacts to traffic.
 
No pressure loss or discolored water issues are anticipated. However, if discolored water does occur, it is a result of a small amount of iron in local pipes. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Residents in these locations should check water clarity before washing any white or lighter colored laundry during this period of work.
